commercial refurbishment / leisure and hospitality

Hotwalls, Portsmouth

Portsmouth’s exciting creative quarter, Hotwalls Studios and eatery The Canteen, is where the city’s historic fortifications have been transformed into thirteen working studios and a waterfront dining space

The brief:

Portsmouth City Council appointed our client to provide alterations and additions to the historic fabric, to convert the existing open and internal casemates, internal storage rooms, public toilets and external spaces to 13 artist studios, brasserie café, management space, public toilets, retail space, stores and terrace.

We provided all the internal fabric fit out works, from laying the specialist Kebony flooring in the units, installing bespoke kitchens in the studios to all carpentry items, ceramic tiling, the final decorations and the 4 metre high Oak Pergola, for the alterations and additions to the historic existing casements, converting the space into 13 creative studios, a deli-style eatery, management suite, internal storage rooms, public toilets, external spaces and a wooden terrace.
