Introduction James oversees the day-to-day running of the estimating department, to the subcontracting and design and build sides of the business, reviewing all new tenders to come in the door as well and pulling together our tender bids ready for submission, including adjudicating all costs and building programmes covering the whole bid process. He also supports the team by tending his own projects from time to time. On top of this, James supports Martin and the G&E team with business development.
Professional History James started in distribution, working for a leading supplier of interior products for over 10 years before moving into contracting. Initially an estimator, James moved into contracts management and then into main contracting for a regional contractor. He is NVQ Level 6 and SMSTS qualified, and after 15 years in contracts management, James joined G&E as our Pre-Construction Manager in April 2021.
Interests A Southampton local, James enjoys family time, walking his dogs and a round of golf.
