Healthcare fit out and refurbishment specialists- fitting out a Renal dialysis Facilities ward

A little about our experiences transforming spaces in the healthcare sector - and where you can find out more.

When G&E say we specialise in designing, creating, or transforming commercial spaces, it’s easy to think of offices, gyms, bars/restaurants, and the like. Many people forget that health and medical settings also fall into the “commercial” category and we actually consider ourselves to be experts in that area as well.

Our case studies contain several examples of work carried out in the last few years, from dental surgeries to pharmacies and GP’s offices and more. That “more” group includes our 2022 project at Renal Services UK's North Wandsworth site.

As tends to be standard practice when we’re operating on or in “live sites”, this project was staggered into four distinct phases in order to minimise disruption to the centre and cause absolutely zero interruption to the care of patients in need of kidney dialysis.

Over the course of a 16 week programme, the building was stripped down to its original shell with all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating infrastructure being upgraded in line with the latest legislation.

With this being G&E Projects’ 15th completed unit across England and Wales, it was an opportunity to apply that considerable experience in technically demanding design-and-build fit-outs. Of course, we handed over a clean, safe site to the standard that clients and patients rightly expect, achieving sign off from the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and with the building being fitted out to a full medical specification in line with Health Technical Memoranda (HTM).

This is just one example of the work carried out in the healthcare sector - the G&E team have delivered an array of projects for both private and public healthcare providers ie. inside and outside of the NHS.
