New Commercial Development Project Secured at Royal Clarence Marina

New Commercial Development Project Secured at Royal Clarence Marina

G&E Projects is excited to announce our recent appointment by Watson’s Property to undertake the first phase of builders' work at Royal Clarence Marina in Gosport, Hampshire.

Our team will be providing the following services to the vacant commercial units:

  • Internal screeding.
  • Separating walls.
  • First fix mechanical and electrical systems (M&E).

Our aim is to prepare these spaces, ensuring they are market-ready to attract new tenants to the area.

A Place of Historical Interest

Royal Clarence Marina (RCM) is steeped in history, with its origins dating back to the early 1820s when it served as a Royal Navy victualling yard. Typically located near naval bases or ports, victualling yards played a role in sustaining military operations at sea. These buildings were used to store, manage, and distribute provisions and supplies to ships and troops. The yard was damaged during World War II, and over the years, it has seen a significant transformation, becoming a popular mixed-use development.

The Development of the Marina

Royal Clarence Marina has now been developed into a mixture of residential, office, and retail areas. It includes artisan workshops, salons, cafés, and restaurants. Additionally, a vibrant community of marine businesses also benefits from the waterfront location, alongside the adjacent 150-berth marina and commercial docks at Victoria Quay.

The appeal of the historic Georgian brick buildings is enhanced by the scenic environment that surrounds them. Views of Portsdown Hill and Portsmouth Harbor provide captivating vistas year-round for visitors and businesses in the area. We are delighted to provide building work that facilitates more businesses moving into the commercial spaces within the Marina.

New Commercial Units

The commercial units within the Royal Clarence Marina development offer a range of options, catering to diverse business needs. These units are available for both sale and to let. In scale, they range from smaller 700-square-foot spaces to expansive 7,500-square-foot premises. The flexibility in size allows businesses to find their ideal space within this historical setting.

Transforming local spaces is particularly rewarding, as it allows us to support local businesses and communities. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!
