A complete gym refurbishment at Pelhams Park, one of BH Live’s leisure centres. This project focused on achieving a high-quality finish, swift delivery, and minimal disruptions to the ongoing business operations.

Client Background- Pelhams Gym:

Pelhams Gym, a community leisure centre in North Bournemouth, is more than just a place to work out. As a registered charity, Pelhams is dedicated to providing inclusive, motivating, and welcoming spaces for people of all ages and abilities. Their mission is to enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of their community through fitness and leisure activities.

The brief:

Pelhams Gym reached out to G&E Projects with a clear goal in mind: to breathe new life into their existing gym space. The challenge was to complete a Category B (CATB) refurbishment within a tight window of 4 to 6 weeks while ensuring the gym could continue to operate smoothly.

The solution:

The scope of work encompassed a comprehensive upgrade of the gym's facilities, including lighting, gym flooring, decorations, and ceilings throughout the main gym area. Additionally, we installed new mirrors and chequer plating in the free weights areas, as well as constructing a raised deck to accommodate various pieces of gym equipment.

We approached the project with a clear plan and a commitment to delivering a gym space that would not only meet but exceed the client's expectations. The services provided in the CATB refurbishment have afforded the centre a modern and inviting atmosphere. We carefully planned the construction phases to minimize disruption to gym-goers, ensuring that Pelhams Gym could continue to serve its community throughout the refurbishment.
